Pre-K teacher Marian Pacheco has been selected as the 2024-2025 Cooper Elementary Teacher of the Year!
One of Marian's nominators said:
"Mrs. Pacheco is an excellent pre-K teacher who provides interesting lessons that are easy for her class to understand. She is preparing them to be ready for kindergarten. Her lessons also introduce them to life skills: being a helper, being kind, being observant, and following rules. Each Friday, she dresses up in a costume that represents the letter of the week. Each year, she schedules firefighters to bring their truck and give a talk on fire safety to all the pre-K classes and the special education class. She has a great sense of humor and a joyful personality that brings fun and laughs from students. There are a wide variety of visuals and manipulatives she uses for her lessons. She gives the class a clearer view of the world around them. I see the love and respect she gets from her present and past students and how they have improved in many ways since their first day of school. Mrs. Pacheco is appreciated and respected by the whole staff."
